Publishers released fewer comics in 2001's "Dead Quarter", resulting in fewer titles in the top 300 from the Big 4. Marvel had fewer than 40 comics in Diamond's Top 300, and Dark Horse had fewer than Archie.
Diamond did release dollar rankings for the Top 300 comics; these will be added at a later date.
