With the purchase of Capital City by Diamond on July 26, 1996, the most eventful phase of the Distribution Wars ended; only Diamond remained among the large non-Marvel distributors. Diamond's charts hereafter contained the vast majority of non-Marvel sales.
Kingdom Come #3 was the top dollar book at Diamond and likely in the industry.

Diamond was the only distributor carrying DC, Dark Horse, Image, Acclaim, Chaos, Sirius, Crusade, Gemstone, London Night, Goblin, Angel, Archie, and Broadway comics, as well as Wizard's magazines.
