The exact middle of the Diamond Top 300 monthly sales chart fluctuates depending on the conditions in the industry and the volume of titles offered by the major publishers; nonetheless, many find it interesting to look at what items made 150th place. In most years, by this point in the list, most of Marvel and DC's titles have already appeared, and the true midlist is underway.

Note that these are preorders through 2002, and only the first month's orders in any event. The number of shipping weeks each month is noted because a fifth week will generally boost the sales levels seen at every location on the chart; there are more titles released, and also more time for individual issues to sell. Four-week-months are best compared with four-week months, and likewise for five-week months.
